Harry Reid is afraid to allow this vote on the Senate floor because he knows if it is allowed, it will be repealed.
He's just trying to counteract the propaganda from the right that has convinced people who hear only them that there are death panels and that the bill will kill jobs. He knows that the people will not be thrilled when they discover that they can't get insurance for preexisting conditions, that their newborns with birth defects will get no insurance, and that if they get sick their insurance company can drop them mid-treatment. I'd be willing to repeal it if we could just go with the Republican Plan from 1994.
http://tpmcafe.talkingpointsmemo.com/tal... Course, you probably wouldn't like that either, since it's identical to the "Obamacare" you rail about so often! To override his veto, you would need two thirds of both houses. Try and convince me you've got that.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
