A crashed vehicle is not a safe place to explore especially if the occupants are dead. My first instinct would be - what killed them ain't gonna kill me. For all I know there could be radiation leakage or toxic gas leakage (note some gasses like CO is deadly and has no odor) If they are alien (which can't necessarily be determined from a simple visual inspection) they may be carrying bacteria or viruses that are deadly to us but harmless to them.
That's not to mention the obvious danger that a crashed ship could explode at any minute. My first instinct would be to call the authorities. I wouldn't want to go near the ship or the aliens without a full NBC suit and a Geiger counter at least.
I couldn't respect anyone who would walk in and start pressing buttons besides showing no regards for their own safety they also show no regard for the safety of anyone who could be in the blast radius or for the safety of their friends and family that they could inadvertently contaminate. Before experimenting the whole crash scene needs to be documented and made as safe as possible. Sure there is always risks with unknown technology but add unknown technology to unqualified looky-loos and you have a recipe for disaster.
I guess what you mean is you saw a UFO crash, because if it's not flying it's not a UFO. And the real thing is to find the crew and pilot, dissect, study of alien anatomy. Then study the craft.
It pretty simple. Some of the material of the 1948 crash near Area 51 was unknown. What then?
And most people would set up the military to defense. And that would be a offensive reaction, or action, a veiled expression of fear and even hate of an alien race.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
