If it happens to be a Saturn LS, you might be able to get them replaced as part of a recall. If it's not a recall issue, replace the sockets and make sure you use some dielectric grease to keep the sockets from oxidizing and burning out. Answer Sometimes the voltage regulator in your alternator can become faulty causing excess or lack of voltage.
Usually the lights are the first to notice, blown bulbs etc. I would recomend getting your alternator tested.
