9 yr old always constipated?

I would talk to your pediatrician about it. Nine seems kind of young to have her period. There may be other options other than the birth control pill to try and hold it off a couple of years.

In the mean time I would get her pads for overnight use with wings and have her wear some tight pants or shorts to help keep her underwear and pad in place. Good luck!

Nature sometimes can be cruel, 9 years old, this stinks...I am wondering and I do not like taking any meds, the Dr. might have to put her on something to slow this down...I feel sorry for her...I know a girl can control her periods with birth control pills, not that I know much more about it, and I am not saying put her on the pill, but maybe something close to it...I thought ME starting at 12 was bad...
