A CNN poll today says that Obama and McCain are in a "dead heat. " What do the electoral polls say? As we have all seen over the past several elections, polls can reflect a dead heat, but the electoral map can be anything but.

RealClearPolitics estimates Obama 273 McCain 265 counting all States. But shows 11 states as toss ups. Obama 228, McCain 174, Toss Ups 136 You can see state polling data by using their interactive map.
Obama's up, but barely RealClearPolitics counts 228 "safe" votes for Obama, and 273 (just above the necessary 270) best guess on the toss-up states. The left-leaning electoral-vote.com counts 264 votes with 22 votes too close to call (Colorado and Virginia). The right-leaning electionprojection.com also counts 273 electoral votes for Obama, to 265 for McCain.
The only difference between the two is that electionprojection allocates Colorado to Obama and Virginia to McCain, arriving at the same map as RealClearPolitics. The left-leaning FiveThirtyEight.com (using a very different statistical method from the others) comes up with 284.7 for Obama. The upshot is that Obama should win if things remain constant, but he's counting on a number of toss-up states that he'll need to solidify during the next few months.
And it wouldn't be hard for a miss-step to cost him one of those. Sources: http://realclearpolitics.com/ .
1 Good question. I wondered the same thing myself and spent some time Googling last night, trying to find the answer. Results were inconclusive.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
