To be blunt: your argument is a "slippery slope" fallacy. Congress would not raise spending as you accuse for the following reasons:1: any increase would hit them as well, and most of them are not so generous as to saddle themselves with a 90% tax rate2: those who are would be held in check by those who are not.3: those who continue to push for higher taxes would be voted out of office; the way politicians who are percieved as wanting to raise taxes are already voted out of office. I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
