A mosque to be built by ground zero, but what would be the reaction if a church was built in afghanastan?

I wouldn't be opposed to a mosque in my community. BA: I don't have a problem with it. The people who committed acts of terror were radical extremists.

I don't see anyone up in arms because there are churches in Waco, TX.

The Muslims that I have known personally were not terrorists. However, a Mosque being built on ground zero is a black eye to this country- that is taking political correctness to the ridiculous and is an outright attempt to enrage. Why not build a Christian church on ground zero, or even a non denominational- interfaith church- where all faiths could come and worship - Christian, Jewish, Islam, Hindu, Buddhist, or whatever, to show the world that in the USA we have freedom of religion, and that no mass murders that then cowardly commit suicide is going to take that away for US!

One of the things the terrorists have done is to pervert their scriptures to justify murder and suicide and one their demands is that the countries they attack convert to Islam. And we can all see what happens to any freedoms anyone has once that happens. That is what those guys are all about is taking away the free worlds freedoms.

They cannot stand that!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
