A potential employer contacted my personal and employment references. I still have not been offered the job?

Usually this is a formality. Sort of the last step before offering someone a job. Hopefully no one said anything bad about you.

Checking references is simply a part of the employment process. It helps the company decide who they are going to hire. It does not mean you are going to be hired.

I asked, be because why take the time. Every other employer that has checked my references has at least discussed an offer with ne. LeJune 13 months ago .

Well, clearly, this company works differently.

Maybe its the old issue of race and not the most qualified LeJune 13 months ago .

Oh,please. How on earth would you know you are the most qualified, when you have no idea how many applicants there are, or what their qualifications might be? You know what?

I don't know what race you are, and frankly, I don't care. If you cannot handle not being offered a job, then go right ahead and blame it on your race. Heaven forbid they would hire someone more qualified then you.(And clearly, more mature).Later..

No need to get offended. I,m confortable with my credentials. Heck out the unemployment statistics.

Your getting hired will depend on what those references actually said.

At some point during your job search, a potential employer will request references. Typically, it will be when the company is seriously interested in you as a potential hire. It's important to be prepared to provide a list of employment references who can attest to the skills and qualifications that you have for the job you are applying for.

Plan ahead and get your references in order, before you need them. It will save time scrambling to put together a list at the last minute. Keep in mind that good references can help you clinch a job offer, so, be sure to have a strong list of references who are willing to attest to your capabilities.

Do not use someone for a reference unless you have their permission. You need to be sure that you are asking the appropriate people to write a letter of reference or to give you a verbal reference.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
