There were no child or baby baptisms in the bible. People repented before they were baptized. Babies and children cannot do this.
The Bible makes explicit reference to the practice of baptising infants as well as adults. In fact, entire families were baptised, including those who were unable to declare themselves a follower of Christ. The act of baptism is what clears us of our original sin and welcomes us into the Body of Christ.
If the Bible says that those who are not baptised will not enter the kingdom of heaven, what of those children who are too young to be baptised (according to this false law of adult baptism)? Yet a child at this age clearly has the mental capacity to judge right from wrong and commit grievous sins. According to the Catholic Church, it IS a requirement for an adult to have faith in order to be baptised, but this is not necessary for a child.
The Sacrament of Confirmation (a sacrament which is done a child rather than an infant) requires faith and an understanding of doctrine. In many denominations of Christianity, baptism is believed to be the rite in which the person is filled with the Holy Spirit. In Catholicism, it is confirmation (the 'laying on hands') where this occurs.
Baptism serves a different purpose. However, they are usually grouped together if the initiate is an adult. Baptism is a necessary sacrament before confirmation, because a person must be in a state of grace before they can receive the Holy Spirit.
Contrary to the belief that infant baptism is un-biblical, there is in fact evidence. This does not make adult baptism wrong, and it is in fact necessary if an adult converts to Catholicism. Infant Baptism has been practiced from the beginning of Christianity.
The oldest denominations are the ones that practice it, and they are in line with the original teachings and practices of the early Christians. Thus, there is no reason that we should stop doing it to appease the misinformed.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
