I think they were probably talking about... the presto which is basically just a printer that prints emails without a computer. Proprietary "non-computer" for emails.. There were such things, although I haven't seem them for awhile. Earthlink used to have something like this, a stand-along sort of "terminal" that only worked with their separate email system. It was sold as just that, a communications terminal that could be used instead of a computer, and it only did email.
