. This may be considered a form of child slavery- fits a UN and US law definition- but for some of the child workers it is a form of salvation, beats starving to death in Haiti. Haitian law regards them as Between foster care and adoption or indentured- parents in most cases have signed a release of custody form so child can leave and have a better chance to live.
