An Askville poetry challenge: Can you express your thoughts on Askville... in verse?

My inbox is full of appeals...my brain is full of rain...I've run out of things to ask...new questions are all the same. I know I've been infectedI've got the Askville-bluesalthough I still love AskvilleI don’t want to pay my duesSee the blues all killed my sillymy creativity is fried. So, I resort to silly poetryand then I go and hide.

Why don't I want to answer? Bet all you know the cause. I'll type up a replybut then I find I pause.

Then, I click on an abandonand throw my post away,I just don't want to get involvedbecause I'm shunning all the fray. How do we get out of this mess? Can this Phoenix be reborn?

Why not tell us in your poetry…How you are feeling torn? Asked by Lady_Wolf_is_Lost 47 months ago Similar Questions: Askville poetry challenge express thoughts verse Recent Questions About: Askville poetry challenge express thoughts verse Arts > Books > Books - Poetry.

Talking Askville Blues I woke up this morning the sun didn't’t shine I went onto to askville to relieve my troubled mind I sent out an e-mail to a friend of mine He said "pie12 I went through the same thing Your going to be fine" Some people fighting they don’t want peace Some people dreaming to get some relief Others just joking to let go of their grief It’s enough to make this poor boy Jump out his seat I met a teacher far from school I met a prankster who acts like a fool Met a mathematician who taught me the rules With a custom made avatar that makes him look cool My wife she asked me what’s askville How much does it cost you know we watching our bills I tell her it’s free honey so just sit down and chill I’ll talk to you later after I answer my e-mail .

What fun! How's this? An Ode to Askville The dishes need washing The laundry’s not done But I can’t leave Askville - It’s just too much fun!

True, it has it’s downside. I don’t like to complain, But the newbies who can’t vote Are really a pain. But there’s so much more good That gets me to stay - Just look at the topics Padding my résumé!

"Wasabi" and "Random" And "Underwear" too - There’s "Silly" and "Fun," Even "Dinosaur Poo"! All the friends I have made Deserve honorable mention. We can rally together And damp down the contention.

There’s Poppet and Penguin, And Sharon and Sardis... (Sorry, rhyming with Lady_Wolf Is truly the hardest. ) So even with its bad side I’m sure here to stay - It’s still the best website For learning and play. This poem isn’t great, But no need to glower It’s coming to an end - I have to go shower.

An Ode to the Askville Blahs There once was a girl from Michigan Who for lunch didn’t want fish again So she chucked her lunch And in her time-crunch She logged in to Askville to dish again The boards were full of old friends Who had to make some ammends For all behaved badly And very quite sadly Nearly brought all the fun to an end So the girl focused just on the questions And sending the mayor suggestions But to her dismay While she was away The topics were as boring as hedge funds () New users have flooded the site And try as the old-timers might There’s nothing to answer ’cept how to return some pantsers And creativity’s dying from blight As a result this girl misses her friends On whom her daytime smiles depend They got so darned bored That they ran off, good lord And she never saw them again! Now bored and missing her horseradish The girl is leaving the site a tadish And it might just be That she gets outdoors to see That her gardens look very badish PenguinSage's Recommendations Beaver Brand Cream Style Horseradish, 12-Ounce Squeezable Bottles (Pack of 6) Amazon List Price: $14.04 Average Customer Rating: 5.0 out of 5 (based on 1 reviews) Horseradish: Bitter Truths You Can't Avoid Amazon List Price: $12.99 Used from: $8.19 Average Customer Rating: 4.0 out of 5 (based on 12 reviews) .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
