Anti spread tabs on aluminum glass door with panic or single latch hardware?

Some exit hardware manufacturers make such tabs for their mullions and panic devices. Others offer an interlocking strike for their rim panics that serves much the same purpose. Von Duprin, for example, provides their 154 mullion stabilizers for use with their aluminum storefront application mullions.

I remember one particular exit device that had an interlocking lip on the active case cover that prevented the frame from being spread away from the door, but I can't remember who makes it now. Door Controls International makes Pannex devices that have a latch that interlocks with the strike to prevent the frame spread attack. If you're interested, I recommend checking out the Pannex and seeing if it will work for your application.

Otherwise the Von Duprin tabs are small and sturdy, so should be usable in many applications.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
