My son will be having his 7th bday party with 9 other boys. I am looking for ideas for what to do for 3 hours with 10 boys! If it is nice, we can be outside, but need to plan for inside ideas too.

Throw water balloons at the moving target... usually one of the birthday boy's parents! My kids love this birthday party idea. We only do it on birthdays as it takes my husband and I over an hour and several sore fingers to fill a very large cooler with water balloons!

Use a plain white shirt (I have used my husband’s undershirts), and take red puffy paint (that is made to be used on fabrics) and draw a large bull’s eye or target symbol on the front and back of the shirt. This, of course, is the target for the kids to hit. You can use a red permanent marker if you don’t want to make the shirt ahead of time as it takes overnight for the puffy paint to dry.

Then, on party day, have one of the birthday boy’s parents put the shirt on and run around the yard while all of the children throw water balloons at the target! The kids love chasing an adult around and being allowed to throw water balloons at them, especially the birthday boy. Of course, you will need to warn any bystanders that do not want to get wet to stay far from the action.

Many balloons will miss the moving target and hit someone else who happens to be in the new line of fire! If you want to really play it up, I have covered my husband with a blanket, and made a big to-do about revealing the secret target. They just love it when I remove the blanket and see their Dad start running around like a crazy man with two big targets painted on him!

Have fun.

You could set up tents, eat cake sitting on sleeping bags on the ground, pretend fish for prizes, roast hotdogs and make smores around a backyard grill or campfire. You could even get a book of games for kids and call them campfire games. Have fun!

How about a theme party I can't say this is my original idea, but for my nephew's birthday, a friend of the family organized a party around SpongeBob Squarepants. They invited the adult family members to the party and put us to work at various stations (and named us various silly names related to the characters on the show). Each station had an activity that the child was to complete.

Each child had a clipboard, pencil, and sheets corresponding to each station. For example, one station was a word search with words related to the ocean. Another station was a crossword puzzle with characters from SpongeBob.

Another station had paper bags with things in them (e.g. , sand, peeled grapes, a woozy ball) and the kids had to guess the contents without looking. Another was a jelly belly tasting station where they had to guess the flavors. Maybe a listening station where they have to identify different sounds (running water, bird calls, wind blowing).

Things like that. For each item they got right at a station, they were given a coin. After a set amount of time (or when everyone finished all the stations, whichever came first) then the kids could go shopping with their coins in an underwater store.

The store was stocked with cheap toys, magic tricks, and that sort of thing. The main room was decorated with helium balloons in the greens/blues hues with long ribbons of the same color spectrum hanging down and cut outs of fish, starfish, etc.Attached to some of them. It felt like walking through a kelp garden.

Then there was cake, ice cream and presents. It kept the kids busy for a long time - they almost didn't want to stop for cake and ice cream! There are some websites that will generate the various word games for you (no need to draw your own crossword puzzle! ).

The only thing is it helps if all the kids are close in academic ability or the adults can help a little so that there isn't one kid who is left behind because of he isn't as strong academically. Here are some websites I found: teachers.teach-nology.com/web_tools/work... (scroll all the way to the bottom for the free stuff! ) puzzles.about.com/od/puzzlesoftware/Puzz... (lists a whole bunch of puzzle generating websites, some free, some not) It takes some (a lot) of work to organize, but I'd never seen that many young boys focused and having fun for that long!

Have a science party! You can build experiments, like the exploding volcano or ooblick in a plastic tub (cornstarch and water - if you've never seen it, try mixing some now! ).

Here's a site that has many ideas for experiments:birthdaypartyideas.com/html/science.htmlWe had one for my nephew, and it was great fun for us as well as the kids. It really kept them occupied. There are also party services in many areas that will bring you all the stuff and guide the party.

Something very active I run games for a lot of children's activities. In reality you could just through a ball out in the back yard and they'd have fun throwing it all afternoon, but assuming you would like to have a little more control over the situation here are some games. Poop Deck (aka.

Shipwreck) is a race with twist. Name each boundary of the yard or large room after a part of a ship and call out different parts. Last one to make it to the area you called goes to the brig until one is left.

Work to slip them up by calling one direction, but pointing in another. Boys can play this for hours. Food Fights: Create an organized food fight with flour, marshmallow, and other messy (but not too messy) foods.

WARN PARENTS ahead of time. Dodge ball: No rules are usually necessary, but if they start fighting, use whatever rules you like. Boys just like to throw balls at each other.

Make sure you get some soft dodge balls. The old rubber play ground ball might work for 7 yr olds, but if anyone is a good thrower, they can sting. Penny tosses: Just like I did in College, but without the gambling aspect.

Stand 10 feet from a wall. Whoever gets closest to the wall without hitting it wins the point. Pop Bottle bowling: Set up 3 or so pop (soda in the NE) bottles.

Stand 15 feet away and roll a ball to knock the bottles over. Drink the soda first and use a soft bouncy ball. Score the number of pins toppled.

Here's one the boy might really enjoy: Open the door to a big sister's room. Give the boys 20 minutes to mess it up as much as they can. Let them go.

:) OK, they would love that game, but I wouldn't play it if I wanted any peace in my house. Sources: http://www.funattic.com/game_skill1.htm .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
