I have an Explorist 400 from Magellan for Geocaching and hiking I am pleased with it and it work well enough in the car, although I don't have the maps for turn by turn directions. Battery life is good - at least 18 hours, it knows about a lot of streets and places already and traces your path. Has barometric elevation, which is useful.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
