Any strategies on how to get appliances cheap from a place like Lowes or Home Depot?

Coupons, , rebates and more If you have just moved, usually you can get a coupon from Home Depot or Lowes (can't rememeber) to get 1o% off. (get at your PO) or you can get them on Ebay. And I do believe Lowes and Home Depot will except each others coupons too.

You can also get coupons for Lowes. Sears has sales too that you can watch for. I have seen coupons for sears too that will give &off appliances.

Also, I know Sears( and probably the others) have like, outlet stores, or "scratch and dent" places, where the appliances are cheap do to a ding on the side. My dishwasher and dryer are from there. If I could get 50% off a dryer that has a scratch on the side, I would not care.

It’s in my basement and the scratch was on the side, does not even show. My sister got her new fridge for only like $300 (more then half off), because it had a big mark/scratch on the side. But where it was going in the kitchen, you did not even see it..and the fridge was brand new!

I know my mom did the same thing. Got a fridge super cheap due to a scratch, and you can’t even see it! Check your yellow pages for any scratch and dent places....it may just be worth it in the long run!

Or if you want them in perfect shape, get coupons. I always see coupons for these places on Ebay if you need them fast. You can do some research and see what brands have rebates.

Here's one for GE for example: http://products.geappliances.com/ApplProducts/Dispatcher?REQUEST=REBATECATEGORIES&PROGRAM=10&SITEID=GEA Here the mover’s coupon for Lowes: http://www.lowesmoving.com/ (home depot will also take this coupon) Good luck! Sources: me .

Look for deals online. Slickdeals.net always has great deals on their forums. Another way would be to make your appliance purchases around big sale times, like the holiday season.

Slickdeals, however, is probably the way to go. I hope this helps! Sources: slickdeals.net .
