Really puts the screws to the home town fans who've supported the team all year. Bring on baseball - at least they play the championship games in their own home cities! Asked by OldppieHatesNewAV 47 months ago Similar questions: glad football season finally end Sports & Recreation > Football.

Oh, YES! My ex husband was GLUED to the TV, all season long, and I was NEVER so bored--he wanted COMPANY while he watched, if I was there. I'd take the kids and GO somewhere for the Sunday games, but if the Eagles lost, there'd be hell to pay, and we were the closest ones to fork it over.
He'd be grouchy-nasty for days, and I could tie it to the game. This left me with a deep and abiding distaste for football and the whole football season and ALL the hype and all the hoopla surrounding it. THIS spouse couldn't care less about football, and BOY am I happy about that!
As far as he's concerned, what's the point of watching? Get up and DO something. SO we bike, and hike and camp.
He hunts--but we're not passively watching oversized, overpaid men in wierd clothing throw and kick an odd-shaped ball around any more, and that makes me VERY happy at this time of year! As to why the Superbowl isn't played in the home stadium? $$$$$.
How do you sell tickets in advance for a game people will want to fly to when you don't know until a couple of weeks before who'll be playing, if you play it on a home field--AND make the maximum amount of profit? Having the game on neutral territory lets them schedule and SELL, SELL, SELL much more easily. You're right about screwing the home fans, though.
However, I bet it slows down (but doesn't stop) the destructive element of the party after the game, win or lose, not having the game in one of the towns. Do you know the abuse rates skyrockets during the superbowl for women and children connected to men attached to the losing team?
TOuchdown fails, BAM! .
I'm glad it's over. As a New England Patriot fan, it was a great season - 18 and 0 and it was a tough loss. But the game was exactly the way it should have been - a great match between the two best teams.
I have no idea why they have to leave town to play - except to play in a warmer climate and to 'level the playing field' maybe? - no home town advantage....but with both teams from the cold east, it really wouldn't have mattered on a day like today. The weather was typical football weather here!
I love baseball. That's my favorite sport. So, I'm with you on that! Sources: IMHO .
Well, I totally ignore it, so it doesn't matter one way or the other. But I guess they couldn't use the home town is the weather. Who wants to freeze their butts off?
Or slip slide on their asses from the nosebleed section right down to the playing field. That's why they're held in warmer climes. Baseball just has the good dumb luck or the foresight to finish while the weather is still reasonable in most parts of the country.
Besides, the fans that can afford Super Bowl seats can afford the flight and the hotel. I'll be ignoring baseball too, in case you're interested.
99% of the time i'm w/ ya this is the 1%. Superbowl,is a one day extravaganza. It's put together years in advance.
Baseball! Me? , i'd rather watch my toenails grow,it happens faster. To this day,i'll never understand, why when it's a called ball, the batter needs to step out of the batters box, itch twitch snatch.......................what?
What? He friggin' didn't do anything! Baseball needs a pitch clock.
I don't need visceral in my entertainment. Real life is visceral enough for me..
Its too cold in NY to play the Super bowl! I feel that you will get a better game if the players can concentrate on the game and not the weather.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
