Anyone bought the SQL Server 2005 Training Kit from Amazon with ISBN:0735623775? Is it hardcover or paperback books?

The Amazon kindle is the best e-book reader on the market. With 8 weeks battery life, connection to Amazon Prime, and a capacity to hold over 100,000 books, you will be excited. Get it now!

I looked at other sites and they sell it in paperback with that ISBN # but on Amazon and a few other sites it says hardcover. Are the books in that kit really paperback but comes in a hardcover jacket instead? Or is it a hard jacket with hardcover books inside it?

Which studying books do you prefer (hardcover or paperback) and why? I know hardcover stays new but it's also heavy as opposed to paperbacks that might be more comfortable to hold as it is bendable but it also gets worn down faster. Just wondering about this because I might want to sell it someday when I'm done with it.

Appears to be hardcover but could be both. The books appear to be hardcover from what I can tell from research. It is possible that some are hardcover and some softcover, though, because I bought a previous version (for SQL Server 2000, I believe) of this kit, and it was one hardcover and one softcover.

Hardcover is not all that much heavier than paperback, especially since they are much easier to lift and carry if you're not using a bookbag. I much prefer hardcover textbooks, and they're easier to keep new-looking. Another point is that it's easier to write on a textbook in your lap if it's hardcover.

If you plan to resell, you almost certainly want the hardcover edition; at least one textbook buyback agent that I know of won't even buy paperbacks. Sources: opinion and research .

1 When buying computer books in general, I go for softbound books whenever possible, unless I'm positive I'll want to keep the book for years and years. A well-made softbound reference book lasts four or five years, and by then the book is outdated anyway. :) In that vein, don't bother planning on selling it unless you expect to sell it within months of buying it!

The used value of most computer books really plummets, and you might not be able to sell it AT ALL when the next version of SQL Server comes out.

2 Books get outdated so fast! I have so many textbooks from college that I should of sold right away but now they won't sell for anything (it's been a few years now) and it's just collecting dust here. Any ideas on what to do with them because I don't want to toss it.

I usually keep the computer/technical books as reference but then they always come out with a new updated version so basically no use in referring to old information anyways, I realize. Ughhh (hehe)... the next version from SQL Server 2005, I don't even want to think about it right now :) ...just a reminder to update a certification in the future *cringes* when I've only just begun.

ISBN shows paperback on Amazon, but I am holding a hardcover. Anyone able to explain?

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
