I have a child around the same age. Rather than focusing on the birthday bash, (which we do), we also make it a point to do something special in which he wants to do. Ask your daughter what she would like to do.
Let her spend the day with just you, or another special person in her life. Let her choose the location, you get the idea. It makes their birthday very memorable and makes her feel bigger by allowing her to make the choice.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
