Every team is different, so the "required" skills vary. I joined my high school's team in middle school (they needed more people) with zero experience. I had decently sharp motions and I think I could do some jumps (I don't quite remember, it was a while ago), and I made it.
Then I moved before eighth grade, and if I had tried to make the team at my new school, I probably wouldn't have. Some teams require tumbling (or, rather, you won't get on without it), some require experience with stunting, others will take you brand new. It all depends.
I would go to some events where the team you're looking to be on is performing (if it's a school team, some sort of sporting event. If it's all-star that's a whole other story as those have levels and you can be placed on level 1 to start for sure). You will for sure need tight motions (no loose arms) and knowing how to do cheer jumps will be super helpful (you can find tutorials for these on Youtube).
If you're getting into a tumbling class, you'll be learning about that. Stunting you won't learn at somewhere that does gymnastics unless they're a gym that offers cheer classes too, but those are pretty rare. I would see if there is an all-star cheer gym near you.
Most have some sort of high school prep classes to get you ready for tryouts. At the very least, they have tumbling classes. Plus, if you wanted to be on a competition team at an all-star gym, you could and you would be guaranteed a spot.
All-star is divided up by age and level. Depending on how old you are, you would be on Junior 1 or Senior 1. There, you would learn the basics of cheer and you would get to compete.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
