Are any schools closing down because of the NDM-1 superbug?

There are some distinct differences between swine flu and NDM-1 superbug. Swine flu was originated from virus and was most contagious, spread from coughing, sneezing, touch, etc. NDM-1 is originated from bacteria not virus and not so contagious like swine flu. After the pandemic announcement of swine flu, many school authorities closed their institutions for safety purpose, where as for NDM-1 such threat does not exist.

The enzyme of “New Delhi Metallo-beta-lactamase-1 , or “NDM-1 Is found inside bacteria like Klebsiella pneumoniae, E.

Coli. Other members of this group is Enterobacter and Citrobacter, the coliform gram-negative enteric bacilli. These bacteria (not virus are not so contagious as virus or swine flu) extremely virulent and become resistant to most antibiotics.

Scientists have warned that a new enzyme called New Delhi-Metallo-1 could make all bacteria resistant to almost all antibiotic, and not as contagious as swine flu.So, there is no need to close any elementary schools, middle schools or high schools temporarily or long-term because of the new super-resistant NDM-1 superbug. There is also no such report.

As far as I know there are currently not any schools that have closed because of reported cases of the NDM-1 Superbug. However, this may be because many schools are not yet in session for the year and the number of reported cases, particularly in Western countries, are low. According to the Center for Disease Control, there were three cases reported in June and all from people who had traveled to India to receive medical care.

Still, I expect a heightened level of vigilance in regard to this as school gets underway and as colder weather sets in and people become more susceptible to spreading germs.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
