Are highly productive employees being use to grow the economy?

Great question with a deceivingly complicated answer. I have been in the staffing/recruiting industry on both the technical and administrative/clerical sides for the past four years, and speaking from experience, there are a lot of qualified candidates without work right now. A few causes, and the way those causes interact: 1) Job Losses and Reductions in workforce Unfortunately, when many companies look to make cuts, they don't often evaluate which employees are expendable -- they determine which positions are expendable.

From an organizational standpoint it may make sense to get rid of your stock room clerk rather than your receptionist -- you can live more easily without one than the other. Unfortunately, no matter how strong of a worker Mr. or Mrs. stockroom clerk is, they are getting cut first 2) Increasing competition The other side of the coin is the difficulty in finding new work. You may be amply qualified for a position as a stockroom clerk at another company; you put in five solid years and have your Associates Degree. So why aren't you getting hired?

The increase in competition means employers have to be more picky and can demand more for less money. Suddenly they are getting Operations and Supply Chain Managers applying to the same position because those candidates are desperate to find work too. Suddenly your five years and Associate's Degree is trumped by their 15 years of experience and MBA.

Help could be on the way, however. Recent reports show that job dissatisfaction is at an all time high as many people have clung to jobs they would have otherwise quit long ago.As the economy heals, I predict that there will be lots of job turnover on the horizon, and with it many more opportunities for those 'productive employees' get back to being productive in a new career.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
