The Looney Tunes cartoons are violent by today’s standards on TV but the characters do not injure one another to the point of death. Compared to the past the showing or not showing violence rules or the standards guiding what is acceptable for kids to watch now are so strict that these old cartoons are censored time and time gain or simply not shown. In fact, some of the old Looney Tunes did include behaviors that are problematic such as smoking or excessive hitting or violent accidents that involved the characters participating in the cartoon.
The times were different and not many kids watched the material by themselves since the use of TV sets was still a novelty. For anybody interested in exploring these cartoons a good option is to visit their website. Here it is: looneytunes.kidswb.com/ Enjoy!
