I like Lady Gaga and think she is talented, but the MTV awards are not a good indicator of talent or ability. While winners may be talented and great musicians, the awards are a measure of commercial success and popularity. The awards are basically a commercial and an appeal to youth culture.
The best measure of talent or ability is the opinion of their peers - other artists and musicians. Even critics are just fans and have to be taken with a couple grains of salt.
What is considered to be musical talent can vary vastly from person to person. MTV video music award nominations are a pretty good indicator of musical talent on the large scale. If you win one of these awards your music blew up, but at the same time alot of the winners are sell outs.
NO WAY! MTV is all about the fans and what is hot. The awards are basically a popularity contest.
Some of the so called "artists" that have won are not so "artistic". Lady Gaga,well...I honestly do not think she is that good to get that many nominations. BUT a nomination is not a WIN.
I think the proof of talent is someone who can sing without music and still sound AMAZING. They do not need any enhancements to their voice.
No, just who is popular. Yes they have good musical talent or they wouldn't be there but that is not the true basis to why they are up there.
Not even close. Awards are more about how good the marketing machine behind you is than how talented you actually are. You could make a decent argument that awards and nominations can help identify who are good performers.
The best singers are rarely the ones who become public names and get the acclaim of a a bunch of teenagers.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
