Are National Guard recruits respected equally in basic training?

Everyone is treated the same, like crap. No one other recruit knows your branch unless you tell them. Good luck and have fun.

Basic was a blast and I miss it some times.

In basic everyone is equally worthless. Same when I went through OTS. After you're out that's when the paths change.

If you're in the reserves or Guard you're a weekend warrior no matter how many deployments you have under your belt.

No one in basic will know whether your active duty, Reserve or national guard unless you tell them.

Heh...we called National Guard recruits "No-gos.

Hell no they're not respected. You'll still get along with everybody, they and the drill sergeants will just make fun of you. We used to call them Nasty Girls.

Everyone is treated the same and honestly when I went through no one even mentioned if they were NG, AR or going AD.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
