Are the people in Occupy Wall Street protesting for freedom or an end to Capitalism?

Neoconservative bias. I agree with the Wall Street Protest that Wall Street has taken tax dollars that could've gone into the system for the American people. However, some of the protest styles are not respectable.

Blocking traffic and polluting the streets with trash is not going to make a good point. McKenzie - America is currently a socialist nation, so it being "so over" is not true. We were socialist under Reagan.

We're socialist now. I don't think it's going to change for awhile. Socialism is a mix of capitalism and communism.

Also known as a "mixed economy." From what I've seen, socialism is the best, since it keeps the government and big business in check, at least more so than if one had full power.

The fact is the people do not speak up or get involved on most issues. How many people bother to look up and find out what is coming up for vote and actually call the congress or senate to voice an opinion? Very few do unless of course you turn to business they get very involved.

The best antidote for influence by those you disagree with is to get more involved.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
