Are there any good ways to sell paintings other than having exhibition?

Online and in local galleries My first suggestion would be the website saatchi-gallery.co.uk/yourgallery/. It is probably the largest art-sharing website in the world where artists (and assumedly buyers, etc. ) can view your work. If you are strictly interested in selling, you could try ebay.com.

I know that there are original artworks up for sale there often. I know you said no exhibitions but just visiting galleries in your area will put you in contact with other art lovers and buyers. You may also consider working at one in some capacity, as this will put you in contact with a ton of knowledgable people.

If you live in an urban area, simply set up a booth on a busy street, there are tons of artists in large cities who do this and seem to make sales. Or if your area has any arts/crafts fairs, setting up a booth here would also get your work out there as well as make you some money..

Join your local museum and get included in their exhibitions (many help local artists). Banks are another source of wall space, but often only for their customers (open an account). If they don’t do this, offer to set up the program.

Art fairs are enormously successful - warning: don’t expected to be taken seriously afterwards by art dealers. In summary, art as a career is not for the hobbyist. You must have the passion for your art to carry you through a boat load of rejection and critique.

But the rewards (not necessarily financial) are enormous. To be creating something fresh and unseen is a gift from the universe. Good luck .

Etsy Etsy.com is the best place to sell art and handmade goods online. You have to be really dedicated and work at it, but there are so many people there who have been really succsessfull! Opening a store is free, and each listing costs 2 cents to list plus I want to say like 3% of the selling price (can't remember the exact figure, but it's cheaper than ebay).

Personal show, craft or art fair, EBAY! I own a frame shop, so I know lots of artists selling their work. Most start out by renting space at local fairs and shows.

If your (or a neighboring) town has a festival that’s a good place, too. Another place would be a locally owned frame shop or gallery who would advertise and have a show. And I’ve bought art directly from some artists who sell on Ebay.It worked really well!

Starting a web store there is pretty cheap, or you could just sell directly by auction. There is a category on ebay for artists to sell their own art. Certainly this is the best way to reach the largest number of people.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
