mahalo.com/how-to-join-the-how-to-team How To Join The How To Team It answers 1 and 2 a 2b, c, and d are really only addressed after you have joined the team. 2b There's not really a reason to have a page telling how to suggest a page for a pre-approved how to if you are not on the team... and if you are on the team, there is a procedure to follow and you will receive instructions.2c We don't really create pages and ask for pay later... we suggest a topic and it is approved or not... haven't seen one not approved if we don't already have it, though.2d I assume you mean How To tasks... and if you are on the team, you can take any How To task available that is not earmarked for someone else, or for rush week. There isn't one page that answers all your questions, but let me see if I can address each one: 1. Lon wrote a great page on everything how to: mahalo.com/how-to-join-the-how-to-team which covers rush week, page building basics, ad update expectations. 2.a.
Rush week tasks are only available to non-team members, who may claim one a week 2b. Anne sends out instructions to new team members about how to suggest pages. 2c.
All pages need to be built through tasks; building how tos directly on the site isn't permitted-- you may lose the page if you do this. 2d. Pre-approved tasks "belong" to the team member who did the research and suggested them.
They don't expire. If there's a member who doesn't seem active, you could dm them and ask if they are still interested in a specific term, but realize that they may have put significant time into term and keyword research already, so they probably still want the task, even if its been a few weeks. I hope this helps!
