I plan to bring the heat to Obama's conservative replacement in 2012 should he be a big government enabler, and I've advised all my friends to do the same. No Romney though. Ugh.

It seems to me that many conservatives did in fact lose faith in the Republican party because it abandoned conservatism. If you listen to conservative talk radio, its a theme you hear all the time, i.e. That the Republican party lost its way.

Many believe that Republicans lost the past two elections because the conservative base was disillusioned with them. I agree with you on the anti war left. There isn't much difference between Obama and Bush on issues of war, Gitmo, warrant-less wire taps, extradition, etc, yet the anti war crowd seems to have disappeared.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
