I'm not a staff member, but I've been around for awhile (nearly 2 years). And the thing about these kinds of questions is that it can be really tough to tell what's a legitimate question and what's not. For example, last summer, I had to change what shampoo I'd been using when Trader Joe's stopped making it.
I switched to their "new" kind that replaced it--not meant to be an actual "new and improved" but was a completely different product that took its place on the shelves. And it stripped the color from my hair. So I came on here asking questions, trying to get suggestions.
And found a good replacement, I might add. Some people tend to ask thought-provoking or fun questions, and that's great. But others tend to ask questions when they're thinking about which alternative would be best, or how to best use a certain product.
Jason does that quite a lot, I've noticed, which is a great way to crowdsource information. There might be a way to program in parameters: a person can ask no more than 5 questions until the person has also contributed 5 answers of more than 300 characters if a person's account has been flagged for commercial-only questions?
The spam around here tends to come and go. Just a continuing cycle.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
