Aren't people who say religious people are backward & stupid a bit arrogant?

Reading the Bible is not a bad thing. However, if you're not religious, it's more apt to confuse you than answer any of your questions. Faith in God is not arrogance, in and of itself.

However, is "some people", Faith in God does cause people to act arrogantly. Just do what any normal person does with arrogant people. You might want to listen to what they say, because - you never know - they may in fact be right.

But do not dignify their arrogance by responding to it in an equally indignant manner. See what I'm saying? For example: this morning while I was driving my kids over to my in-law's house.

My daughter was sticking her head out of the window, as much as she could given that she was belted in a booster seat. That sort of thing is against the law in my state. Now, this lady drew my attention to it in the most obnoxious, self-righteous, "I'm a bad father" demeanor as she possiblly could - even going so far as to threaten calling the police on me.

Midway through this rant, I stopped looking at her, and quietly rolled up my windows and ignored her until the traffic light (finally) turned green. There's no way I'm dignifying her ATTITUDE - but I can't ignore the fact she was right about what she was complaining about. I'm not saying these arrogant Christians are Dogmatically correct.

All I saying is that you should give them at least a little listen before judging them, for they may be right in what they say.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
