Not getting this right away doesn't make you stupid. Once you know how to do these kinds of questions, they're easy. But until you have learned how to do them, they aren't easy at all.

The answer isn't ten cents because: 1A. If the bat costs a dollar more than the ball and the ball costs ten cents, then the bat costs a dollar and ten cents. 2A.

If the bat costs a dollar and ten cents and the ball costs ten cents, then the bat and ball together cost a dollar and twenty cents. But we know that the bat and ball together only cost a dollar and ten cents. So that can't be right.

Instead, if the ball costs five cents, things work out: 1B. If the bat costs a dollar more than the ball and the ball costs five cents, then the bat costs a dollar and five cents. 2B.

If the bat costs a dollar and five cents and the ball costs five cents, then the bat and ball together cost a dollar and ten cents.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
