As A Believer, Can I Be Able To Hear The Voice Of God Speaking To Me Like Moses And Abraham Did?

God speaks to each and every person who desires to hear from him and is willing to listen to what he has to say. God will also try to speak to those who do not. S words may not be prophetic in the way he spoke to but He is willing and able to speak to you always, to teach you and guide you throughout your life.

I hope not, that will scare the hell out of me and probably make me crazy=).

I know people personally who have heard God speak audibally to them. These experiences were just once, I think.

Should that be God's Will, it WILL happen. Of course, He will understand that you must test the spirit to be sure it is and He will guide you, if it is He. Otherwise, forget it.

I know because it happened to me a couple of times, I tested the heck out of it, I was reassured (sometimes again and again) and so....if it can happen TO me, it can happen TO other believers too.

Yes, go out in the desert, go without food for a few days, get totally dehydrated, maybe take a few drugs, and you too can experience hallucinations similar to those that Abraham (supposedly) and Mohamed experienced.

Can we hear God's - yes. Do we hear like Moses or Elijah - often not, because we can experience the Holy Spirit differently. God can speak to anyone, even a fallen murderer like Cain, but before Jesus made the Holy Spirit available to all believers, he would come and go and rest upon some from time to time.

Since Jesus' was resurrected and glorified the Holy Spirit actually comes to dwell in the believer and speak directly to our spirit, which then communicates through our soul to our mnd and human brain, which is why God's voice so often sounds like our own and speaks to us in the first person. Voice of consciousness, that iswhat made them so big, was their capability to know what the Spirit says in their own heart, which has became one with the voice of their own mind. Hence, Faith is the proof of things unseen (unseen here means withoutphysicalvision), and in my dictionary, unseen is on the same level with unheard (what I mean by unheard is without sound wave that hits our eardrum). Although God could audibly speak to us if He needed to, I believe under the new covenant, we are spoken to through the Holy Spirit and through the Bible. Saying God couldn't do something is simply ridiculous, but Moses and Abraham lived under a completely different covenant, and did not have the Holy Spirit or the Bible as guides.

Moses and Abraham, many prophets, and some New Testament writers like Paul, all saw visions and heard utterings from God. The Bible does not say it is impossible to see or hear God today. So, yes, it must be possible.

However you may not want to. In almost all cases, God visited people with a job for them to do. And the job almost always sucked.

Sometimes God just wanted a message to go out. Even that was dangerous. For example, the prophet Isaiah had so much bad news from God, the rulers finally sawed him in half.

This is a fallen world, and people who believe and love God already don't fit in. If God chooses you to be a "real" prophet, to hear his voice and battle the world system for his glory, then you'll probably so not fit in that you'll be martyred, like all the others before you. Yes but not as a believer but, as someone who knows, and G_D has been trying to get us to listen since the prophets. G_D wants a one on one relationship with mankind. We the masses are just too scared of it.(See old testament on the decologue) and assigned representitives to intercede between G_D and man.(prophets, priests, kings, etc...) How do you think G_D felt when everybody rejected his voice?

No you do not need purify yourself or to have blind faith. In fact the concept of faith or belief is so weak when it comes to something as important as the creator. You have to know.

YES - But beware of methods. In general, God does not shout, he speaks to you in a still small voice and it is never frantic sounding. If the voice is screaming like a banshee or seems more like a pressuring rather than a simple nudge, then that is Satan, not God.

God never needs to scream to get his message across if you are a believer, Satan on the otherhand does.

Yes, Self faith and purification of mind will lead one near to God who will talk to God in his or her sub-conscious mind under sleep at night like Moses and Abraham provided the person devoted the entity of self to God.

The Holy Spirit of God did not indwell believers before the resurrection of Christ Jesus. Now, God speaks to us through and s Spirit speaks individually to those who believe in a still, small voice from within ~ our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit when we are born again. As with the Apostle Paul's experience, I have heard testimony, especially one of a Muslim, who saw Jesus in Spirit ~ Jesus spoke to m to tell him Who He is ~ He said, "I am Jesus Christ, the living God."

So, I think it is possible yet ~ with God, all things are possible.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
