As a parent isn't this ludicrous and upsetting,what would you do to stop your 18 year old son from dating a 30?

Well, you've reached the age of consent for the UK, to there should be no legal hindrance, but remember that most parents have been bitten by the fashionable ped-hysteria and will always think their children are too young for someone older. This is so throughout the English-speaking world. If he is a sensible man and nor some flaming quean of girly twinkletoes, since they know you're gay, they would probably be happy that you have chosen someone solid and sensible who can give you psychological support in life.

You can prepare them for this by suddenly behaving and dressing more maturely. Get your hair cut in a sober style. They'll realise some "good" influence is at work, so that when they meet him, they'll be grateful to him for changing a stroppy teenager into a sober-minded young man.

My rule is two years either side. I'm 18, so the youngest I'd go is 16 and oldest being 20. Some people have different views which I respect.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
