As education budgets become more constrained will schools require parents to pay for bus fares?

There is a school in the metro atlanta area that now will NOT provide buses for any student within 1 1/2 miles of the school. Evidently they passed the law a aways back and suddenly decided to use it.

There are some upset parents on the news! I think some will be walking as one parent asked about safety when it gets dark :o .

In Hawaii they are asking students to bring their own toilet tissue to school. I kid you not. So paying for bus fare doesn't seem far fetched at all.Html.

A small town in Indiana recently attempted to charge students for busing. It was cancelled because it went against the State constitution for free access to public schools.

Maryland will not provide bus service for students that live within a distance from the school.

It will start there. Never forget - we must all pay our fair share! So that the chosen may prosper, the rest of us must pay and forego any increases or pensions, etc.It always amazes me that any government worker or union is always the victim, but they always come out on top.

It is always presented that their jobs are so important, and us pee-ons are expendable. They all forget that "we the people" pay their wages.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
