Becoming self assured................ As one ages, their philosophies in general get more defined and I believe that will create a tendency to be more extroverted. You will be comfortable in discussion and sharing your experiences. Of course, all is based if the person is surrounded with a group of people that will take steps to include the introvert and guide him/her to grow.

Looking back..... I was a reserved, a little shy, quiet although social teenager. I would blush easily. When I finished college I was asked to assist a professor and I was thrown in front of classes.

I could have died! The professor said just think of the power of giving the grades you have! Cool!

Working as a chemist, more a learned about my profession, shared and mentored, better I felt. The blushing went away. Asserting myself with the kids, teachers, play groups, other parents, coaches etc.... Now I talk to everyone.

If I was ever an introvert no one would believe it. Being comfortable in your own skin, that all is needed. Sources: experience, opinion .

I'm moving towards being more introverted as time goes on. Years ago I took a social psychology test that indicated that I was mildly introverted, which they defined as having to spend energy to deal with people that you don't know well. As time passes on, I have more and more difficulty relating to people with whom I lack any interests--career or personal--in common.

Secondly, since I became an Askville addict, I haven't had any time to waste on foolish things like interacting with people. Once I realized that dealing with people took time away from accumulating Quest Coins, I severed almost all human contact. Excpet for going to work and sleep, I pretty much live in front of my computer.

Why waste time dealing with flesh and blood people when you can earn more Quest Coins and Experience Points, right? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extraversion After all the time that I've spent here on Askville, I'm sure if I retook the psychological exam again, I'd come off as way more extroverted. Don't feel sorry for me.My cats love to sit on my lap as I type and type away into the wee hours of the morning.

The boy below in the photo is another Askviller being forced to go on vacation--without his computer. Fortunately for me, I have a lap top.

Ch-ch-ch-ch- changes! I’m surprised to say, I have evolved quite a lot over my lifetime! When I was young I was always very serious and quiet. My aunts were always telling me to smile, lol.

You can imagine how well that went over :-) I was happy, just more of a sightseer through my young life than a participant. In my 20’s I was still serious yet more talkative. My aunts would have been proud because I DID smile more, and I meant it, too. My 30’s were pivotal years, it seems.

That was the time period where I went from an introvert to an extrovert. I began to lead a women’s Bible study and really thrived in that role. Now in my mid (okay, late) 40’s, I am a confirmed extrovert, and very pleased about that!

My husband offers a wonderful balance, and I like who I am. I sure have come a long way from that introverted young girl. My extrovertedness (is that a word?

) comes out by saying what is on my heart instead of just thinking it.It has enhanced my life in many ways. This isn't true, but it sure is funny! I have been an extrovert all my life. Sometimes I wish I were a little quieter. Of course, some days I am more introverted and thoughtful than others. In certain situations, I will not be as extroverted as usual.

I hope I manage to balance it out most of the time. It varies..but overall I am an introvert I define introverts as those who need space & time with limited or no people to re-group and re-charge and extroverts who need people & lots of socialization to re-group and re-charge. I am social and sometimes the life of the party when I am with my close friends and family but with new people and large crowds I tend to stay quite and observe. Since I get really stressed in large groups with a number of strangers, I am an introvert but I don't think I am big of one as I was prior to meeting my boyfriend. My boyfriend loves crowds and loves people - he definatly re-charges from the social interactions.

I re-charge by reading or hanging with my cats. Sources: personal .

Someone wants to be with me all the time. And I am an introvert who desperately needs my space, and some time to myself.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
