No, of course not. You have to prioritize your family's needs or your own first. But you can help in some other way.
Maybe you have old clothes that you don't use anymore so you can donate them. It would be a great help already to the person receiving it in Haiti. Money is not the only thing they need.
Pray for them especially those who perished in the earthquakes. Pray for those who survived that they will be able to move on after this tragic incident. You can help in your own small way, it would still make a big difference to them.
Check with your local charities. Usually in the wake of this kind of a disaster, charities will ship over supplies to the affected country. You might be able to donate things that you already own (such as clothes or tools).
If you can't donate, that's OK. Not everybody is in a position to help out, at every point in their life.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
