Asked this before, but need new tires and trying to decide between 2 sets, studded winter and summer tires...see details?

I'm in Mass too. Yeah, we do get "wet" ice. But I have the option of not having to drive anywhere until the roads are clear.

You should certainly do whatever is safer. If you have to drive over snow packed or icy roads, the studs should give you some extra traction. When I had to drive a lot more to work, I did the winter/summer tire change too.

I've been told there is even a difference between ice between where I live, closer to Anchorage, and up near Fairbanks, where it tends to be colder and they say the ice is drier. Snow is just a given here, but since I work at home, figured I'd see if there was any advantage or disadvantage to doing it the way I've always been told, get the two sets and have 'em changed with the seasons. I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
