At what age should children be held criminally responsible for their actions?

The same age they can vote to affect those laws holding them responsible.

The rationale for charging minors as adults is that they commit adult crimes and seem to require harsher and longer sentences to protect the community. The argument for not charging minors as adults is that children are still developing their morals and are still amenable to rehabilitation. Also, there is a fear of abuse if children are jailed with adults. In most cases, I believe that children should be prosecuted in juvenile court.

In the case of murder and rape, however, these are clearly adult crimes and, in addition to punishing them, we need to protect the public from them. I would allow kids ages 17, 16, and maybe 15, to be tried as adults when they commit adult crimes. Anything below that, I have a problem with.

I further believe that the death penalty should not be imposed on a minor and that a minor should be given the possibility of parole at some future date.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
