Atheists: Do you show respect to Christians who DON'T force you to convert into Christianity?

Of course. Most atheists in the U.S. know many Christians and usually have Christian family members. Not all Christians are bigoted, etc., just as not all atheists are.

Nor is every single Christian tenet horrid, nor every single tenet of any one religion. However, whatever good is in Christianity, or in any other religion, was put there by human beings, just as whatever bad there is was put there by human beings and not by devils or gods. And whatever good is there usually does not belong exclusively to that religion or to religion in general.

For instance, it does not take Christianity to believe that one should not kill or to treat others as one would be treated. (What we call "the golden rule" was not original to Jesus. It had been said before by others.) Ex-xian; agnostic atheist.

I respect every Christian and mostly every other religion, as well. For one, everyone is entitled to their own opinions. Though most Christians do not seem to respect my choice of belief, I am a very open-minded person, and I am willing to accept nearly anything that I find to be "good".

Secondly, ever since I was little I wondered why people were so stuck on religion, when faith is the importance of it all. The entire purpose of Christianity and many other religions, in my belief, is to promote Faith, and give hope to it's believers. Therefore, I respect the high amount of faith that Christians have and their dedication to the religion.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
