You should look at the history of Social Security in the USA. Successive governments have been well aware of the problems but none has had the guts to do anything about it. Cut 10% of the "Defence" budget and you could have all the Social Security you need (as well as lots of other things you need).
Fortunately I live in a country which has old-age pensions, free health care for pensioners, reduced telephone and electricity charges, free driving licences and car registration for pensioners, vastly reduced public transport costs or free public transport for old people and quite a few more goodies. The country? Australia, but there are plenty more around the world including most of Europe that look after their old people.
Perhaps it is about time the USA started thinking about moving into the 21st century and taking care of its people.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
