I guess, to choose the right candidate, you have to know their stance on current issues and see if you agree or disagree with their core beliefs, principles, and morals (or lack thereof). Here is a list of some issues so you can get an idea of the views of each: ABORTION Romney: Pro-Life Obama: Pro-Choice BUDGET Romney: Romney believes in the principle of Reaganomics wherein you cut taxes which is believed to bring in economic growth. He supports setting up a national catastrophic fund to ensure that people are entitled to home owners insurance in the event of some natural disasters like hurricanes, tornadoes etc. He brought forward an economic stimulus package with a price tag of $233 billion which is aimed at generating long term growth incentives.
This can be achieved by expensing capital expenditures in the next two years and lowering corporate tax rate so that businesses will thrive and generate revenue. He wants to be known as the job senator by convincing the government to cut deficits and raise American's savings rate by making more capital available for companies for investment and thereby increase employment opportunities. Obama: President Obama's budget plans to reduce the decades of economic inequality that prevails in the United States.
By bringing in a progressive tax code which would involve raising the tax rates for the high income category proportionately and increasing the tax cuts and credits of the middle and low income stratum. Obama recognizes the role of children and youth in shaping the quality of America's future demography and thereby supports reforms like 'No Child Left Behind' and improving education in general right from the kindergarten level, giving essential training and skills to teachers and rewarding them for their good work etc. Obama chooses to cut down on war costs in Iraq and Afghanistan and proposes to keep aside $250 billion to bail out the US financial industry besides the $700 billion already set aside. Before his election, Obama said that he would require disclosure of all congressional pet projects and force lawmakers pay for any new spending or tax breaks through new revenue and cuts in other programs.
HEALTH CARE Romney: Romney is a wary supporter of universal health care. However, he wants to delegate its implementation to state level. He is against financial penalties for those who fail to comply with mandates.
And similar to the Ryan plan, Romney proposes to divert money from Medicaid and other federal source of funding to the states. Obama: Health care was one of the centerpieces of President Obama’s 2008 campaign. The Health Care Act introduced comprehensive reforms on national health care legislations.
Unfortunately this action has been heavily criticized because of his failure to carry out many of the promises he previously made about healthcare during the 2008 election. The model for his plan has always been Europe, and, due to its failure there, this plan is under heavy fire. SOCIAL SECURITY Romney: Governor Romney believes that Social Security must be reformed in order to remain fiscally solvent for the long-term.
He advocates a progressive price indexing tied to a lower inflation growth model, as well as reducing benefits for top bracket earners. Obama: President Obama is firmly against cutbacks on current or future social security benefits, although there were reports that his administration agreed to put Social Security on the table during the contentious debt ceiling negotiations with Republican legislators in 2011. Obama has also indicated that he is not in favor of privatizing the agency.
These are just some of many issues. I think that it is important to focus on their views, not on their good and bad past actions as people. While I agree that we must take into account their personality, we elect one or the other to make decisions for us and it is important that we agree with the decisions.
Addressing your last question, I believe that making the assumption that his religion will come between the separation of church and state negates the argument. He has made no action that would allow us to surmise that, so I do not know where people would get that idea. I believe that we should not take into account people's race or religion when voting for them.
This also refers to "reverse-discrimination" which Obama has tactfully applied being the first "black" president. So his father was black, but he never really knew his father and he was raised by his white mother, white grandparents, got a "white" education and still claims to be the first black president. If religion is really an issue for you why don't you vote for Barack HUSSEIN Obama.
I have tried to give you a non biased account of the facts, no simple feat, but I do hope you take the time to do your own research and come to your own conclusions. I know that no one candidate will be perfect, but for what its worth NOBAMA12.
Even if you a DIPLOMA. Yyou could not pass a citizen test! They only teach you that.
Big government is Good! You may be an A+! Let's see.

A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
