I applaud Reid for not bowing to the pressures from rich health care lobbyists. The highest priority of the American health system is profits and not the health of the masses. In fact the new health care bill does not go far enough. As one who have lived overseas and received health care outside US, I find their services are great when it comes to quality and costs.
There everyone is covered. Health statistics show that under the public option they are healthier than those in the URL2 many countries it is unthinkable for sick to ask for donations from the public for medical treatment. In the US medical costs are so high that it is the biggest reason for financial hardships and bankruptcies.
About 75% of these cases have the US health insurance which is ineffective in protecting the financial interest of their clients. The for profit institutions has created many millionaires by exploiting the sick. Their profits are rising every year while more and more people are dropping out of the system because they cannot afford.
Every year 45,000 die in the US because they have no access to the US health care system. About 45 million don't have access to this overpriced system. It is easy to see why the World Health Organization has ranked US as 37th among other nations when it comes to health care.
Obviously the Republicans are in denial as they are well funded by the health care industry whose only goal is profits.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
