Shows like this make people too smart, they ask too many questions and show up too many others who are in positions of authority. The Republicans won't accept this, too many people will see what they are doing wrong. That's why these shows are taken off the air, it has nothing to do with funding.
That's why they want Big Bird to go next. Actually, about 20 years ago, one of the cable channels, either Sci-Fi or Discovery had similar shows, but even they are gone.
When Nickleodeon first started out, they had Don Herbert (Mr. Wizard) on a new show. I don't remember how long it ran, but I remember watching it with my daughter. I think PBS still runs repeats of Bill Nye, the Science Guy.
He makes science fun, too. I like to watch the Nova programs with Neil DeGrasse Tyson, who also makes science understandable and fun.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
