2 EddieNygma, regarding your answer "I can only recommend one from personal experience":Thanks. As you said, it's not exactly what I'm looking for :) , but if I can find time in the future to read these two I will take you up on your recommendation. Thanks!
This is a wonderful book written with William Novack and covers Tip from when he was a kid to after he left Congress. It is such a great read and lots of fun. It is full of great gossip and great insights.
Many interesting stories about the Kennedy's, Reagan, and more. Tip had such a long career that everything is covered--and yet it is a concise, sharp, and wittily told tale. Not a book that is very serious—it really is more personal and down to earth.
But veruy colorful and highly recommended!
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
