It depends on what you have experienced in your life. A memoir is truthful, or should be, so anything you put in the memoir will be true. Right?
Relationships, especially if related to soul mates is always interesting. Friendships that have been unusual, such as a good friendship that has no age or gender barriers, different belief systems yet each respects the other for their own beliefs. One of the most interesting friendships I have had is with a man who is 36 years younger than me and we can talk about anything.
We are very close and share thoughts we cannot share with anyone else -- we have a friendship based on total trust and respect.
It depends on your target audience. I believe that every individual has an interesting life. Your life might seem normal to you, but to others, it may seem really fascinating.
I always see myself as having a normal, and sometimes, boring life. I am a Chinese who was born and raised in the Philippines. I also live in a Chinese community in the country.
When I started college, most of my classmates are Filipinos. They became fascinated with my culture. I was amazed by their genuine interest.
In your case, think of your audience, who they are, what interests them, etc. Decide whether what you've written will truly interest them. Good luck!
I think the previous hubbers have answered you correctly. I would like to add that people like to hear or read about secrets, and strange/funny / unusual experiences that have happened in real life..
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
