I'm an animal lover.......... dog, cats, horses, lizards, birds, racoons, possums, squirrels........does not matter every creature has a place in my heart. Howeve if you are asking to choose the ones that I would share my living space with, presently 2 cats and a parakeet. I would love a dog but because of mobility problems I am unable to take the poor thing for walks so I stick with the ones that can be quite content with what I have to offer.
Growing up, Mom was an animal rights activist and we had a lot of rescued animals until we found homes for them. I also had multiple cats, always. Back in 1986 one of my adored cats died at age 5 of urinary blockage.
The pain was like I had lost a child. I decided no more pets for me. I donated the funds I used to spend on the animals to the shelter, every year.
Finally I retired and decided to take it easy and lo & behold a 10 year old cat that was going to be euthanized was delivered at my door. What the heck? It’s just one cat.
I never had one single cat and when you are their playmates and total companion they are so cute and loyal. A year goes by......another stray adopted us. Neighbors mistreating a parakeet....told them I’m taking it or reporting you to PETA.My clean house now has hair and feathers.
Litter dust. The love cannot be measured but it does surpasses all.My daughter has a small dog and a cat and they get along great. The dog is small enough that if needed she uses the wee-wee pad and if someone is home she scratches at the back door to go outside.
Smart little thing. I feel bad for animals left all alone for long stretches of time but they are better of than at a shelter waiting for a deadline.
Medium sized dog, but I like cats, too! Our current dog is a schnauzer-mix, and she's the perfect size for our lifestyle. Little dogs tend to get stepped on too easily, and big dogs are--well, too big!
So our dog, about the size of a cocker spaniel, is just right for our house, our bed, and our yard. I can't imagine life without a dog! They are wonderful companions, and I hate coming into the house when the dog is off to the groomers or even if my husband takes her someplace and I'm at home.It just isn't the same without that happy little greeter at the door, who's missed me even if I just took the garbage out to the street!
The unconditional love they give cannot be matched; the devotion and companionship they provide is irreplaceable. The princess of pillows....taking a nap on the couch where she is not allowed!"But mom--I'm not ON the couch! " "I nap like the humans do....on my back, on the couch!
" Cats are great, too, but with their reserved temperment they aren't able to express the same kind of passion as dogs can! Our Taz is the greatest cat, I love him to death, but it's just not the same as having a dog! .
Little dog Little dog! I have a mini doxon. :) .
All of the above... We have two German Shepherds, one German Shepherd/Alaskan Husky mix, one Black Lab,one Wire-haired Terrier/Pug mix, one Cockapoo, and one toy long haired Chihuahua and five Domestic Short-Haired cats. No, we are NOT crazy, LOL.....we take in rescues and find home for the ones we can but these 12 are permanent family members. Sources: personal experience .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
