It can be very difficult to maintain a relationship when you don't share interests with the other person. Opposites may attract, but they aren't always conducive to a strong relationship. Seriously consider how much you love animals and how much he hates them.
Whenever you and your significant other don't agree on something that's important to either of you, you're going to have issues. You should try to be sure you get along on any major issues. For some, this will be religion, politics, or family.
For others it may be music, sports, or pets. Decide for yourself which is more important to you, this person you're in a relationship or your interest. Choosing the interest doesn't make you shallow; it helps prevent issues later from not having things in common with your mate.
Good luck in your choice.
I honestly don't think I could stay with someone like that, because I would always resent them. I would miss having animals, and it would eventually become a big issue between us. If he couldn't recognize that it was important to me, and put up with at least a cat, then I would know we weren't meant to be.
I think that if partners ever having something between them that causes one partner to just simmer with frustration or resentment, then the relationship is just doomed from the get-go. In my opinion, it's worth ruling people out early, before you develop serious feelings for them, if they don't mesh with you on the big stuff: lifestyle, long-term goals, travel goals, etc. I just wouldn't be in love with someone who hates animals, because the first time they came to my house, said they didn't want to be near my cats and let me know they don't like pets, I would have kicked him out :p.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
