Almost every biracial (half black/ half white) I have met say they're black. And ALWAYS bring up the one drop rule. But I believe they should claim both ancestries, because if you disown one you are disowning one of your parents.
Where african americans are mixed but it's usually a great grand parent they never knew.
If someone is "half and half," it is utterly STUPID to claim, "I'm black." It's only the USA that goes by the idiotic "one drop" rule. GOOD FOR YOU considering yourself black, cause congrats YOU ARE BLACK.
I am biracial and proud of BOTH of my sides, I'm not just going to claim "black" because 1) I don't identify with Americans, I don't usually even like them 2) English isn't my first language 3) Koreans make more "Sense" to me SO if I claim anything, it's going to be Korean. There's NO SENSE in me claiming a side I hardly know anything about, genius.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
