Breaking news: Paul Newman is dead! I just read this on MSNBC. Paul Newman, the screen legend, died on Friday at the age of 83 after a battle with cancer.

This is depressing me. I just watched The Sting the other night. What did other Askvillers like about him?

I admired his commitment to his marriage. He and Joanne Woodward were married since 1958, so I guess they made it to 50 years! They always seemed to be really in love, and that is so rare in Hollywood marriages.

I was extremely sad to read of his death this morning. He has always been one of my favorite actors and a man that I admired tremendously for his acting, his wit and who could not admire those blue eyes :-) He was the founder of "Newman’s Own" products 25 years ago. All of his products are all natural and this was long before it was fashionable.

The money he makes is all donated to charities. S dog food is top quality organic food. The money made from his dog food sales is donated to organizations that support animal welfare.

He suffered a great tragedy when his son Scott died of a drug overdose in 1978. He later created a foundation to educate people about drug abuse. He was described by Shawn Levy, a film critic who is working on a biography of Paul Newman as funny, upright, smart, brave, talented, faithful, honest, manly, wise, and humble!

That really says a lot :- I said this about my dad and I can say it about Paul Newman. I don’t think there is anyone who didn’t like this kind and gentle man. Everything! I loved him in Cool Hand Luke. I loved every movie he acted in.

When I was younger, I use to pretend, I was the woman that acted as his wife, or girlfriend. He was a very genuine person. He was very talented, handsome, beautiful blue eyes, a very cool person, and boy could he act his but off.

He was also very sexy, and calming. I could look in his eyes all day, and of coarse all night. I even loved his salad dressing.It was very tasty.

Paul Newman will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. He will live on in everything he ever did, especially his acting career. Paul Newman was a man of many talents, I'm sorry he passed.
